Police seek info after a man in his 20s was seriously assaulted on a footpath near Tunbridge Wells. He remains hospitalized.
Someone found the victim in Rusthall last month. He was confused and upset on a footpath, near the cricket pitch. The assault occurred on January 23, a Thursday. The attack took place in some nearby woods that start at Rusthall Road.
Detectives say the victim is in his 20s. He went for a walk starting at Sunnyside Road. The assault happened between 7:30 PM and 7:40 PM, resulting in deep cuts on his head and bleeding in his brain.
A detective mentioned the victim is getting better. Sadly, he can’t explain what occurred yet. He walked alone through the common, a route he often took.
The detective said the attacker likely had blood on their clothes or shoes. He asks people to contact the police if they know anything about this crime, as it is the right thing to do.
Officers checked CCTV at homes and businesses. They ask people to check their doorbell cameras and security systems for anything odd, especially between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM.
