Stallingborough: CATCH is making some exciting moves! They’re planning to expand their training facility. This not-for-profit group has been around since 2006, helping the energy and engineering sectors in the Humber area.

Last year, they opened a Skills and Apprenticeships Centre at their site on Kiln Lane. Now, they’ve filed plans for a two-storey extension to their conference centre and a brand-new renewable energy training centre.

Currently, they have 74 full-time staff, and they expect to hire six more with this expansion. The new training centre will have four workshops and classrooms, plus a common room. Each workshop can fit 15-20 people, while classrooms will hold 20-25.

The conference centre will also get a makeover. They’ll move the entrance to the northern side and add a large event space for 120 people, along with collaboration areas.

CATCH has already informed neighbors about these plans. Their big goal? To create a £60 million national net zero centre by 2029, training 1,000 new industry entrants each year. Sounds like a great step forward for the community!
