The Council has shared updates on Corporation Bridge as coverings come off, revealing ongoing repairs and upcoming work schedules for safety and maintenance.
Work in the control room is almost done. Grit blasting is happening on Spans 5 and 6. This will help assess if more repairs are needed. Scaffolding is being taken down on Spans 2 and 3, and painting is also in progress.
Now that some sections are uncovered, people can see the repairs. The work will continue, especially during low tide next month.
To keep everyone safe, footway closures will happen while work is near public areas. The footway might close for two days a week if conditions allow.
Closures will be from 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays. The footway will be open on weekends. Temporary signs will guide people during these closures.
Here are the dates for the South Footway closures:
– Tuesday, February 4
– Wednesday, February 5
– Tuesday, February 11
– Wednesday, February 12
– Tuesday, February 18

The Council encourages everyone to stay updated through WhatsApp for the latest news. They also offer special promotions and ads for the community.
Weekend work is scheduled for:

A spokesperson from North East Lincolnshire Council thanked the public for their patience during the work. They reminded everyone to respect access restrictions for safety.
The Grade II-listed Corporation Bridge has been closed to cars since February 2023. It was supposed to reopen before Christmas, but repairs took longer than expected. The new target is to reopen this summer.
