Ryan Long, 23, receives a five-year ban from Beeston Hill for drug dealing, a criminal ‘first’ in West Yorkshire after a 45-month sentence.
Ryan Long, aged 23, is from Beeston. He received this five-year order as a consequence of his drug crime, having been found in possession of drugs with the intent to sell. Long resides on Linden Road.
Police arrested and charged him last November. Officers found drugs and money at another location in Beeston.
Long appeared in Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, February 4th. He received a sentence requiring him to spend 45 months in jail, and a Leeds area is now off-limits to him.
He is now prohibited from possessing drug making equipment, specifically Class A or B substances. He is restricted to owning only one phone or SIM card, which the police must be informed about.
The Leeds Anti-Social Behaviour Team requested this order. If Long violates it, he will face consequences, potentially including fines or further imprisonment.
Inspector Mark Lund, who leads the Leeds South police, emphasizes their collaborative efforts with partners. Their aim is to stop individuals who harm communities through criminal activity. He says drugs bother people in south Leeds, and they are working to fix that.
People should report crimes so they can act, which helps make things safer. Mary Harland, who works on safety for Leeds City Council, states that Safer Leeds works with police to fight crime. They are committed to protecting communities effectively.
