A learner driver in Cirencester crashed into a lamppost after blowing nearly three times the legal alcohol limit during a roadside test
Gloucestershire Police shared the news on social media. The driver blew 101 mcg in the test. That’s way over the legal limit of 35 mcg. They even tested positive again at the station.
This wasn’t the first incident. Just the night before, another driver hit a wooden pole on the A46. The police were not happy. They tweeted about the two nights in a row of drink driving incidents.
The police said, “Another drink driver, this time they collided with a lamppost in Cirencester.” It’s concerning, especially since this driver only had a provisional licence.
Yesterday, there was another crash. A driver blew 66 mcg after hitting a wooden pole. The police found the car on the A46. They said the driver and the car were both in no shape to be on the road.
The message is clear: drink driving is dangerous and illegal. Stay safe out there!
