A tragic accident in Lydney has left a motorbike rider dead after colliding with a parked lorry early this morning
Lydney: A man lost his life in a terrible accident this morning. He was riding his motorbike when it crashed into a stationary lorry. The incident happened around 6 AM on Harbour Road. Sadly, the 44-year-old man from the Forest of Dean died at the scene.
Police reported that he was riding a Zontes ZT125-U motorcycle. After the crash, Harbour Road and nearby Station Road were closed for investigation. Emergency services rushed to help, but despite their efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.
His family has been informed, and they’re getting support from a specially trained officer. If anyone saw the crash or has dashcam footage, police would love to hear from you. They’re also checking CCTV from local businesses.
