Gloucestershire: The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings for the next three days. Starting with strong winds on Friday, January 24, and heavy rain on Sunday into Monday.

The wind warning lasts from midnight to 11:59 PM on Friday. Expect strong gusts that could cause disruptions and even pose a danger from flying debris. Power outages and traffic delays are likely too.

The worst winds will hit between 2 AM and 8 AM, with heavy rain starting around 1 AM. Temperatures will be milder, reaching up to 10°C.

On Sunday, another warning kicks in from 8 AM to 6 AM on Monday. This rain could lead to flooding, especially from noon to 2 PM on Sunday. Lighter rain will continue until about 3 AM on Monday.

Some roads are already affected by flooding, like Sandhurst Lane in Gloucester, which has been closed since January 7. Wainlode Lane in Lower Apperley is also shut.

The Met Office warns that Storm Éowyn will sweep across the northwest of the UK on Friday. It will bring strong winds, with gusts reaching 50-60 mph inland and even higher along coasts.

Saturday looks sunny for most of the day, but light rain may start in the evening.

On Sunday, expect heavy rain across central and southern England, with possible thundery showers. Rainfall could reach 30-50 mm in some areas, leading to local flooding.

Stay safe and keep an eye on the weather updates!
