A playgroup in Gloucestershire has made impressive improvements after a tough Ofsted report last summer, transforming its rating in just five months
Since the inspectors visited Whiteshill Preschool Playgroup last July, they’ve been busy. They revamped everything from the staff to the curriculum. Now, kids have way more chances to learn and grow. After all the hard work, Ofsted came back and rated them as Good in every area.
The last inspection pointed out some serious issues. The leadership wasn’t strong, and staff didn’t really understand how kids learn. They struggled with managing behavior too. But the new committee and staff have been determined to fix things. They’ve put in a ton of effort over the past five months.
Anna, the playleader, shared her excitement. She said, “Going from inadequate to good in just five months is amazing. We’re all so proud.” The team has worked hard behind the scenes. They’ve redesigned the environment to fit the kids’ needs and got support from experts.
Now, the playgroup is thriving. Kids are happy to come and play. The new curriculum helps them become independent and confident. They’re learning to manage their feelings and share with each other. It’s a whole new vibe, and everyone is looking forward to what’s next.
