Cheltenham: People can’t enter a vulnerable man’s home anymore. The house on Sun Street will be closed for three months starting April 7.

This decision follows complaints from neighbors about ongoing anti-social behavior and drug activity at the property. Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court approved the closure order on January 8.

If anyone enters the home during this time without permission, they could face arrest and up to three months in jail. The goal is to protect the vulnerable man living there.

Sergeant Meredith Gosden from the local police said they worked with Cheltenham Borough Council and Solace to secure this order. Residents reported issues with people known to the tenants.

She urged locals to report any unauthorized entries by calling the police. For emergencies, call 999; for non-emergencies, call 101.

Cllr Victoria Atherstone from the council expressed hope that this action would support the vulnerable man and reassure the community that such behavior won’t be tolerated.
