Police are seeking information after two charity shops in Cleethorpes were broken into early today. Any leads could help catch those responsible.
Police arrived quickly after a dog walker raised the alarm. They found a smashed glass door at the British Red Cross. A brick was still lying on the ground.
Mark Comley, who runs a nearby shop, was baffled. He wondered what thieves hoped to find in charity shops. “There’s not much cash in the tills,” he said.
A cordon was set up around the shops while police investigated. They’re asking anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward.
A police spokesperson confirmed they’re following several leads. They want to catch those responsible for this senseless act. If you know anything, call their non-emergency number and quote log 52 of January 20.
