Gloucestershire: Princess Anne recently opened up about her horse accident. It left her with a concussion, but she feels she was lucky to escape serious harm. She mentioned that the experience taught her to appreciate each day.

While on her way to check on her chickens, she had the accident. Surprisingly, she can’t remember any details about it. She was asked about her future plans and said retirement isn’t on her radar.

Anne shared, “You’re jolly lucky if you can stay more or less compos mentis.” She emphasized the importance of taking life one day at a time. When asked if she remembered anything about the accident, she simply said, “No, nothing.”

She recalled intending to visit the chickens, not realizing she was heading into a field. After the accident, emergency services rushed to her estate. She spent five nights in the hospital for tests and observation.

When asked about any lasting effects, she joked, “Apparently not, at least I don’t think so.” She feels grateful and reminded that every day is a bonus. Anne was supposed to travel to South Africa with her husband, but he had to miss the trip due to an injury.
