The RSPCA is seeking information after two kittens were found dead with severe injuries in North Lincolnshire, raising concerns about their treatment.
This happened on January 9, near a small brook and an equestrian center in Winteringham. One kitten was ginger, and the other was a ginger and black tabby.
After a vet checked them out, it was clear they had serious injuries. One had a head injury, while the other had a nasty cut on its stomach. The RSPCA thinks these injuries weren’t caused by wildlife.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened in the area. Last year, four kittens were left there, but thankfully, they were unharmed and found new homes.
Now, the RSPCA wants to hear from anyone who might have seen something unusual that day. They’re especially interested in anyone who knows people trying to give up their cats.
RSPCA officer James Dack said it was a shocking find. He mentioned that the injuries looked suspicious, almost like they were made with a sharp tool.
This area is usually quiet, but it’s popular with walkers. So, they’re hoping someone might have seen something. If you have any info, please reach out to the RSPCA at 0300 123 8018 and mention incident number 01428132.
