Plans for 70 new homes in Cleethorpes are underway, sparking community interest and discussions about local development.
Cleethorpes: Exciting news! There’s a plan to build 70 homes where the old school playing fields used to be. Gleeson Regeneration Ltd is behind this project.
They’ve asked the North East Lincolnshire Council for planning permission. The site is located off Bentley Street and Beacon Avenue. It’s a 2.54-hectare area.
The proposal includes 17 two-bedroom homes, 37 three-bedroom homes, and 16 four-bedroom homes. Unfortunately, none of these will be affordable housing.
Each home will have two parking spaces, plus a total of 43 bike spaces. If the plan gets the green light, there will be a new T-junction for easy access from Bentley Street.
They also plan to build a foul water pump station and a green buffer along the western edge. This area will have a public space with a play area for kids.
So far, two neighbors have commented, asking for swift boxes and developer payments for local schools. The council’s Local Plan allows for up to 80 homes on this site.
