After serving in the Royal Tank Regiment, he became a firefighter at Peaks Lane Fire Station. Niel was a man of many interests. He enjoyed skiing, motorbiking, and even piloting. He also volunteered for local groups like Friends of Weelsby Woods.
His brother Mike shared how unexpected Niel’s death was for the family. He described Niel as thoughtful and compassionate, always eager to help the community. Niel made family calendars each year, filled with memories from their walks together.
